Let me preface the star system by saying, I am a tough critic! Don't let the rating deter you... read on.Gimenez has created a world and characters that I would enjoy learning more about. The futuristic tone of the novel, added to the thrilling chase scenes and detective elements makes this book a must read for lovers of all three genres.
I especially liked the handling of the droids and the way the author perceives a future Atlanta. There were some challenges in keeping the tone and pace throughout and as with any book of this nature, a few bumpy parts of the ride, but overall I would recommend this book.
Look forward to seeing future stories featuring our hero in his high-flying world, tainted with greed, where humans and droids work side by side to keep the peace.

The Nanotech Murders edition by Lee Gimenez Romance eBooks Reviews
The Nanotech Murders by Lee Gimenez is one of the more smoothly written books I've read in a while. It's very lean, very no-nonsense like the main character, with whom I instantly empathized. He's a cop who cares--so much that now there's trouble at home. Not that it's necessary to be a cop to understand him. Anyone can love something so much that it causes neglect elsewhere. I don't normally read this genre, but it seems to me that this book must do well with readers. The plot and characterization are nicely interwoven. I just kept turning pages.
The NanoTech Murders is quite an addictive read! The action-filled plot is quick, quick, quick. Keeps you turning the pages and wanting more. The partner cops of Decker and Smith take you on a wild crime investigation where the first serial murders in Atlanta are just the beginning of the brutal violence as their investigation escalates into a full blown national conspiracy. Death, destruction, battles, escapes, Gimenez pulls it all together and then caps it off with an explosive ending. My only critique is I wanted more!!
This futuristic crime thriller is the definition of a 'page turner'.
I won't include any spoilers, but it follows a cop named Jak Decker through 2071 Atlanta as he hunts down a serial killer. I also enjoyed the dialog, and the interaction between Jak and Cassandra. One of my favorite lines "There's a 99 percent probability that there is no God. But that last one percent looks pretty good right now."
Some great, fast-paced reading - "The Nanotech Murders" is a must-read for fans of crime, sci-fi (or both!).
Lieutenant Jak Decker is the classic anti-hero, the kind of man who hates everybody equally. In this story the character reminded me of Clint Eastword's classic dead-pan detective Dirty Harry with a hint of Decker from Bladerunner thrown in. The plot starts with him investigating a series of crimes along with his mysterious and exotic female android partner. An intriguing plot that is well written and includes some great characters. The plot includes all manner of futuristic high tech gadgets and gizmos and really immerses you into the world. An enjoyable adventure and I'm sure there is room for sequels!
The Nanotech Murders is an excellent murder-mystery with political corruption, corporate greed, back-stabbing and issues with trust. It's also a futuristic thriller, set in 2071 Atlanta with flying cars, androids, laser guns and communication devices. Lee has a very creative mind and this well-thought out plot is fast paced from the start rising to a surprising conclusion.
Gees, I hope this never happens. Jak Decker is my kind of cop--honest, persistent, and with lots of integrity and good instincts. He and his Partner, Cassandra Smith go through a living hell to solve the serial killings and put an end to the criminal activity that instigated those killings. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but if you like action and suspense, this is a good one to pick up.

This is the first Lee Gimenez book I have read. I will be adding more of his books to my 'to read' list. This book is well written and really draws you into the plot, characters, and settings. I really enjoyed Jak's character but I really loved Cassandra the android cop. With both characters I began to feel attached to them.
There is plenty of action in this novel and I never found my self expecting anything. Gimenez does a good job keeping the reader on their toes with subtle twists. I highly recommend it.
